FAQ
- Can any flower photo be used for therapy?
-
The photos used in Flower Photo Therapy are specially taken for this therapy.
Therefore, if you look for similar effects in ordinary flower photos, you will not find them.
The way these photos are taken is also unique to this method. At present, the only person who can fully capture photos in this way is the developer of Flower Photo Therapy, Teruka Motomiya.
The reason for this is that these “flower photos” were created as a result of Motomiya’s research into “Qi” (energy) in Oriental medicine, experimenting with elements such as color.
A common misunderstanding is that because flowers are beautiful and healing, any aesthetically pleasing or emotionally moving photo will have a healing effect.
While it is true that ordinary flower photos may have some healing effect,
the flower photos provided by this association are designed with great precision—targeting specific emotional layers and states of consciousness in individuals, and working on particular emotions to facilitate healing.
Please understand that these photos are structured to make psychological diagnosis easier and to enable the rapid release of identified emotions.
- I don’t intend to make this my profession. Can I still take the certification course?
-
Yes, of course.
While some past students have studied to become therapists or instructors, many more have joined not for work, but because they wanted to:
- Learn how to heal themselves
- Receive the therapy for their own well-being
- Help their family or partner
Some participants also choose to learn for the benefit of their loved ones.
Please note: Certification instructor courses and related programs are currently conducted mainly in Japanese. For more details, please refer to the Japanese website.
- I have no experience in psychological therapy and am a complete beginner. Can I keep up?
-
There is absolutely no problem.
In Flower Photo Therapy courses, you start with the beginner level called “Care Advisor.”
This course is intentionally designed so that ordinary people can easily provide mental care to those close to them—such as family members or colleagues.
Therefore, it is structured so that even those without any background in psychology or counseling can follow along.
The goal is for complete beginners to use flower photos to develop basic counseling skills and provide mental care.
Once you begin, many people find it enjoyable as they start to better understand themselves and those around them.
Please feel free to join with confidence, starting from the Care Advisor course.
